A new friend from a hitchhikers’ hostel takes Aleksey to see Krasnoyarsk, where he even manages to have his phone fixed. Continuing his journey, the weather turns bad and Aleksey’s shoes get soaked. Then, he hitches a ride almost to Irkutsk, but the driver has told so many scary bear stories that Aleksey decides to get a motel for the night, rather than camp. After checking out the city’s old wooden architecture, he gets a lift in a minivan, but soon begins to fear the ride could end in catastrophe.
