Harrowing tales of modern-day human suffering come to life in RTD’s slavery documentaries

Slavery still exists in this day and age despite being outlawed over a century ago. Modern slavery affects an estimated 40 million people across the world, more than half of the victims are in forced labour. The plague of missing children in India who end up in sexual or domestic slavery is investigated in the film Lost Kids. Children are also the focus of the documentary SOS: Sold out Slaves which looks at child prostitution in Kenya. The UN estimates a third of Kenyan children are involved in prostitution. In the name of religion, ISIS enslaved thousands of women, and their stories are told in Victims of ISIS.
