US Homeless: The Fight for Equality

Americans resort to tents for shelter as housing crisis deepens

Ocean County is one of the many places in the United States without a full-time shelter for the homeless. Minister Steve Brigham describes the situation as a "terrible shame" and was quoted as saying, "there is no shelter for them to go to... they have to sleep out in the woods."

As the cost of living and inflation spikes in the US, the quality of life for a wide spectrum of Americans declines. The lack of affordable housing and inadequate policies to address the issue has left vulnerable individuals in dire conditions.

RT Documentary’s new film, ‘US Homeless: The Fight for Equality,’ gives first-hand accounts from the marginalized people living in New Jersey's tent city.
