From the start of the special military operation, RTD has been reporting about the heroes fighting at the front lines, defending their country. But, as Vladimir Putin puts it, in many cases "…only they and their commanders, who are fighting shoulder to shoulder with them, know how hard and how dangerous” their job is. It’s time to make their names know to all. The documentary series “They Are Heroes: Here and Now” is a reminder of all the courage and dignity it takes to stand up for the noble cause of defending one’s homeland. Daily sacrifices and acts of selfless courage - this is what makes one a hero. Soldiers and doctors, volunteers and people who call Donbass their home, tell their personal stories, that give viewers a visceral sense of what it’s like to face death everyday, and yet, stay true to themselves.
