DRUG WALL

In early 2019, US President Donald Trump imposed a state of emergency to implement the construction of the border wall with Mexico. He then announced additional tariffs on Mexico. President Trump says the wall will hinder the flow of illegal drugs into the United States. However, drug cartels generally use legal ports of entry to get drugs across the border. Critics say the wall will have no impact on the import of illegal drugs to the US.
