The Direct Action Everywhere animal rights activist group says as there is no legal way to fight farm cruelty, you have to break the law. Members of this network secretly enter farms, document incidences of lousy animal care. Despite the good intentions, farmers aren’t pleased with the interference. Smithfield Foods is suing the group after activists stole two pigs who were allegedly in bad health.
