Where Advertising Addiction is Legal

The United States is one of the few countries where it’s legal to advertise prescription drugs to the public. This has fuelled the rise in opiate addiction. It’s legal for companies to promote these drugs to doctors and the public, despite the hazards. One of the biggest producers of opiates made $4 billion profit on one drug alone, more than many of the illegal drug cartels peddling equally-addictive products such as cocaine and heroin.
