On the golden breadline

Up in the Tian Shan mountains lies Kyrgyzstan's very own Klondike. The Raimbekov family's sons go panning for gold in ice-cold mountain rivers every day. They work knee-high in the water for hours trying to find the tiny flakes of gold in the torrents, and although they deal with gold on a daily basis, they struggle to feed their families. In most cases being born in this part of Kyrgyzstan means you're destined to be a gold panner, but Raimbekov boys don't wish the same hardships for their children. One of them gave up and took his own life, but the other one is determined to create a better life for his offsprings.
