It's hard to prepare oneself for an emergency situation, but when these kids saw others in desperate need of help, they didn't think twice before putting their own lives in danger to rescue them. These are the stories of ordinary schoolchildren who found themselves in extraordinary circumstances and showed bravery that not every adult is capable of. They recall the moment of their heroic deed and explain how they managed to remain calm and composed in the scariest moment of their lives.
Kosovo, with NATO’s help, won independence from Serbia in 1999. In 2014 Serbia opened its borders with the young republic allowing tens of thousands of migrants to leave Kosovo for Europe.
