Widows of Alexandrov chorus tragedy struggling to move forward one year on

On Christmas Day, 2016, a plane went down in the Black Sea with Russia’s world-famous Alexandrov Ensemble on board. The Russian Armed Forces’ official chorus had been on its way to a Russian military base near Latakia, Syria to bring the troops there some holiday cheer. The tragedy was a huge blow to the nation and the victims’ loved ones. One year on, the widows are still in a state of shock and grief, struggling to move forward, despite nosy questions from outsiders.
