Anti-Russian sanctions backfire with an energy crisis
All over Europe, cafes and bakeries have no other option than to shut down as the energy cost hits new records. The sanctions imposed on Russia by the EU hinder gas supplies and cause a major energy crisis. ‘I recently heard about a bakery that was doing well and had been paying 120,000 for its gas per year. And now, they’ve had their forecast, and they’ll have to pay 1.2 million. That’s ten times more. No small business can afford that today’, says a German citizen Hans Peter Kornelius. Will Europe be able to cover all the energy needs without Russian gas?
