Georgia’s Gamble Revisited
South Ossetia's war victims, 10 years later of trying to heal
Ten years after the Georgian army attacked the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinval, locals on both sides share their memories of those tragic events. An RTD crew meets South Ossetians first filmed at the height of the 2008 war to learn how their lives have changed since. We also talk to people in a Georgian refugee settlement, unable to return to their homes in South Ossetia, and to villagers, stranded in no man’s land after a border fence appeared almost overnight.
