Japan's secret Unit 731 – where biological warfare was conceived.

Japanese Emperor Hirohito thought "bacteriological weapons will help Japan conquer the whole world". To achieve his goal, he created the secret Unit 731. Headed by Shiro Ishii the unit killed thousands of people while developing biological weapons. Ishii called his test subjects "logs" and didn't think they were human. Despite the lessons taught by WWII, biological weapons research and testing on humans continue.
