Bringing the Grey Whale population from the brink of extinction

The Grey Whale was one of many species facing extinction in the 20th century. Apart from hunting, underwater noise, ship collisions and fishing nets have threatened the population. Migrating between Sakhalin and California, the Grey Whale population has been lately growing thanks to Russia's Sakhalin Energy's effort in saving their habitat.
