A Happy Hello & Sad Goodbye for the Nikulin Circus – A Clown’s Life Ep. 21
Husband and wife clown duo Aleksandr and Bella Chervotkin have returned to Moscow’s Nikulin Circus from the States for a special performance at the venue where they got their first start. Their first act, ‘Wheels’, is highly impressive, as few circus performers have the patience to develop unicycle acts anymore. Their variation of the staple ‘clapping’ skit is also a huge crowd pleaser, though Aleksandr admits he doesn’t much enjoy doing it. However, it’s the couple’s last routine, a parody of a magic show, that brings down the house, even giving Irina Deryabkin some new ideas for her family’s act. After the show, veteran clown Vladimir visits the Chervotkins in their dressing room to share some clowning advice with his old friends.
