Moldovan opposition activists showcase strategies to conquer economic hardships

Like many young people in Moldova, when Vergiliu was 24 years old, his family could barely make ends meet. Vergiliu, as his wife recalls, constantly looked for work and odd jobs, but money was still catastrophically scarce. So the family moved to Russia in hopes of a better future for themselves and their children. Twenty-three years later, they are well-off, but thoughts about their home country and the conditions Moldovans are forced to live in, always weigh heavy on their minds. 'When I see those poor people in Moldova who stand in line for cheap bread… You know, it hurts my feelings a lot,' says Vergiliu. Watch the documentary to hear his story and discover the measures that activists introduced to overcome Moldova's dire economic situation.
