Donbass: Restoring Childhood

Orphans from Donbass hope for a better future in Russia

Donbass children have been living under Ukrainian artillery fire for 9 years now. Many of them lost their parents or have no idea where they are. Lidia Kovalyova, who was an orphan herself, does her best to help these kids and make them feel part of a family again. Lidia adopted 23 children and created a loving home for them in Donetsk. But when the Ukranians began to bomb the city, she was forced to seek greener pastures in Russia. What drives Lidia to continue her courageous efforts and help orphaned children find a new sense of a real family?
