Dealing With COVID Effects Months After Diagnosis

For many patients, COVID left an impact. About 35% of those who recover from disease suffer tough after-effects. They complain about hair loss, loss of vision, joint pains, fatigue, or even heart attack. In the USA, they call these people post-COVID “long haulers”. Some say recovery from COVID is far more difficult than battling the virus itself.

Scientists and doctors are beginning explore which after-effects are COVID-related and which are not. Meanwhile, former COVID patients have created an online community where they share their pains and describe the after-effects of COVID. They hope their findings will help doctors to document all the side effects and offer patients better treatment.
