Letters to a terrorist
Ten years after the Beslan school siege, some of the victims' families write to one of the terrorists
It’s natural for human beings to seek out the reasons behind even the most senseless and horrific of crimes. Ten years have passed since the Beslan terrorist attack, in which 334 people, the majority schoolchildren, were killed. Now, the RT Documentary team travels to a prison in the Arctic Circle to talk to the only terrorist still alive. Has Nurphashi Kulayev come to regret his actions while serving his sentence? What does he tell himself about his role in this atrocious act of cruelty? The film crew brings with them letters from the families of his victims. But will he read them?
