Crossing Israeli-Palestinian Border – News Team Ep.17

The plane Thabang Motsei is supposed to travel on breaks down and is replaced by an ancient Soviet aircraft. She flies to Yakutsk to film dog sledding and can’t resist the opportunity to take part herself. Meanwhile, Paula Slier is in the West Bank preparing a report on the Palestinian-Israeli border. Every day, Palestinians who work in Israel and travel by public transport are forced to queue for hours at Israeli checkpoints. The Israeli government claims that this is necessary for security reasons. However, as those who can afford a car are never stopped or checked, questions are raised regarding how appropriate these measures really are.
