Sold out to ISIS: Filipino child soldiers
More than a year after running away from ISIS-affiliated militants in the Philippines, Jaffar and Abdullah are still reeling from the trauma. The teenagers’ relatives sold them to the Abu Sayyaf group for a meagre reward. In training camps, the ex-child soldiers were prepped to fight and kill, as well as to be used as human shields or organ donors for adult fighters.
