Syrian Diaries

9 years of war in Syria through the eyes of a TV cameraman and disabled vets

In 2011, the Arab Spring protest erupted in Syria. Things quickly turned violent, and Syrians didn’t recognise their country anymore. Samir Alfarra, a TV cameraman from Damascus, shares his personal memories of the long war and hopes that peace will return to his homeland, while former fighters talk about their scars and how they cope with trauma.
