Sklif (Ep23) A hepatitis B diagnosis comes as a shock to a man who believed his health was fine

When Vyacheslav discovered he had hepatitis B, he thought his life was over. The disease had already damaged his liver and led to cirrhosis. However, his supportive family insisted he should not give up. After a six-month wait for a donor organ, Vyacheslav is about to undergo the lifesaving surgery.

This is a complicated operation and time is a big factor. The doctors must work fast to minimise post-operative risks.

Meanwhile, Vyachelsav’s large family is on tenterhooks, waiting for his surgery to be completed. They hope his new liver will restore his health. They are confident the surgery will be successful, as they know Vyacheslav is a fighter and his doctors are among the best in Russia.
