Fighting with the Kurds in RTD’s Kurdistan documentaries

As the largest ethnic group without a homeland, the Kurds have been fighting for their independence for decades. More recently they’ve had a new adversary in the form of the Islamic fundamentalist terrorist group ISIS. RT has reported from the frontline where Kurdish fighters battled against ISIS to retake land in Syria and Iraq. In the film Her War: Women vs ISIS, RTD meets female volunteer soldiers who form a battalion as part of the Kurdish forces fighting ISIS in Syria. The women are in the firing line as they defend their homeland.
