Stories from desperate parents amid India’s missing children epidemic

In India, thousands of boys and girls are kidnapped and sold into domestic servitude or the sex trade. The problem has reached a staggering scale in the country with one child said to vanish every eight minutes. 'Lost Kids' presents the heart-breaking stories of desperate parents in search of missing children and one teenage girl who escaped from domestic slavery.

Although there’s no exact figure, thousands of Indian children disappear annually. Some are abused runaways, many are kidnapped, and others are lured into forced labour by promises of a job.
