Tibet: Dreams Come True. How Tibet’s yak herders live better but still hold onto their culture
High above the capital, Lhassa, herds of yak still graze on the bare, windswept plateaux of Tibet.
RTD shadows one herder and his family on the school run, supervising the tailors making winter jackets adorned with bright Tibetan designs while keeping the community spirit alive. They also visit a natural shrine to make wishes come true and explain how proud Tibetans use modern conveniences to improve their standard of living while staying true to their roots.
