Tibet, the rooftop of the world, has a very distinctive architectural style, moulded by its climate and Buddhist spirituality. Young architect Tudanlaija takes RTD with him as he records the features of Lhasa’s UNESCO World Heritage sites - the huge Potala Palace which dominates the city, the Jokhang monastery – along with the old town. The Tibetan shares the secrets of the bright colours, ornate window and door trim of Tibetan buildings, also his dreams for his country’s new architecture.
