Some of the world’s largest internet delivery companies are Chinese. In Hubei province, one has automated the processing of packages, with robots playing dodgems to sort shipments while delivery staff are being trained to use drones in remote areas. A trip to a mandarin farm reveals humans aren’t about to be written out of the picture. At the same time, some Chinese pensioners discover the unexpected effect of internet deliveries on their marriage.
