The Mi-35 attack helicopter is Russia’s best-selling chopper abroad. The Mi-35 multi-role helicopter serves in the armed forces of Venezuela, Brazil, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. The Mi-35 is a modernised version of the Mi-24, also known as the ‘flying tank’. The aircraft is capable of destroying enemy targets with ‘Igla’ air-to-air guided missiles, a 23mm auto-cannon, and ‘Ataka’ anti-tank guided and unguided missiles. The Mi-35 can also transport up to eight armed troops in daylight or at night. The helicopter boasts an upgraded navigation system.
